What’s in Your Closet with Sheila

Sheila is a passionate Tour Guide and a very knowledgeable sales team member, having worked in the organisation for 13 years! She’s got an eye for colour coordination and has a flair for helping our customers find just the thing they’re looking for. We’ve had a chat with her about some of her favourite TWC items and what she enjoys most about working in the retail industry.

What are your main considerations when buying, price, quality or style?
Colour is a big drawcard for me. Most people seem to know what colours suit them, so I would say style is my main consideration when buying a garment, as I want to look and feel good in my clothes.

Which TWC garments do you regularly reach for?
I’m always reaching for my UIMI Phoebe jumpers which are a great essential piece – light, but so warm. I’m also a lover of cardigans and my favourites are made by Bridge & Lord, who have a stylish range of new-season colours. I regularly reach for my Toorallie long-sleeve tees right through the year as they are great on their own or as a layer during the cooler months. Lastly, I can’t go past a merino and silk fashion scarf for a bit of interest and to bring an outfit together.

Is there a piece you have your eye on at the moment?
The Bridge & Lord Dolman Sleeve High-neck Pullover in Camel – I’ve already bought the Denim colour!

What do you enjoy most about working in the wool/retail industry?
During the years I’ve worked at TWC, I have learned a lot about good-quality garments. With care, a quality woollen garment will last many years. I enjoy being helpful and find it very satisfying to see people happily purchasing a garment I’ve suggested to them. A smiling face and a warm welcome make it a memorable visit for those who stop by – there’s nothing better than a repeat customer or a word-of-mouth recommendation!

In your opinion, what staple item does every wardrobe need?
A good woollen cardigan!
