Convict Lives at the Ross Female Factory

Between 1848 and 1854 the Ross Female Factory processed hundreds of women transported to Van Diemen’s Land to serve their sentences. This book is the second in the Women Convicts Research Group to examine the role played by the so called female factories and to examine in detail the lives of the women who passed through them.
