In 1993, the Parents and Friends Association published this book of local recipes to raise funds for the Ross School. The chapter pages are illustrated by school students, and the recipes came from local mums and grandmothers. Here is an example of recipes from the ‘Loaded Lunch Box’ chapter, featuring an illustration by Paul Woolcock in Grade 3.
The Parents and Friends Association began in the early 1920s, and raised funds through balls, card parties, and concerts to buy everything from music instruments to football jumpers. The ‘P and F’ were passionate about giving the children the best possible start in life in a small, friendly school.
