Lionel James Harding

Lionel James HardingLionel Harding was 20 years old when he joined the 12th Battalion in May 1915. He, and his father Charles, and his brother Albert, worked on Charlton as shepherds. The family lived on Moulton.

Lionel arrived on the Gallipoli peninsula in September 1915, then in France in June 1916.

He was killed in action in September 1916 in the attack on Mouquet Farm, during the Battle of the Somme.
