Felting with Wool

Handmade feltThursday 17th January 2019. 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Wool is an amazing, versatile fibre that can be used to create different types of textiles. In this activity you will learn how to take raw wool fibres and, with some soapy water and lots of squishing and squeezing, transform them into felt.

You can make a felted brooch in the shape of your favourite animal, flower, dinosaur or plane… or maybe a hair clip, or bookmark… whatever you can imagine.

Make a Monster

Ross Bridge carvingThursday 24th January 2019. 10.30am – 12.30pm.

Have you seen the monsters in Ross? Let us show you the Ross Bridge and you can discover the weird and wonderful creatures that live in the bridge’s stones.

These bridge-beings can be your inspiration as you design your very own monster and then use modelling clay, and your imagination, to bring it to life. Friendly, scary, silly… it’s up to you!
