A month ago “Jim” arrived to take up his post as our new doorman to welcome you to the Tasmanian Wool Centre. He’s been doing a great job, is the cause of many smiles and is always available for selfies.
Jim is a two-year-old Superfine Merino ram who has joined us from Trefusis stud, just outside of Ross. He was named in honour of the late Jim McEwan, who developed Trefusis into one of the premier superfine wool-growing properties in the state, winning the Ermenegildo Zegna trophy a remarkable 15 times. Georgina Wallace is now proudly continuing her father’s legacy at Trefusis, producing prize winning Merino sheep and fleeces.
Jim takes up his post thanks to Tom Sloane’s incredible work at Livingdead Taxidermy.
Our sincere thanks to Georgina and Tom!
